2. Ground bearing pressure
Outrigger pads spread the load, but the ground still has to bear it. On reclaimed or made-up ground inside GIDC estates, this matters. Ask whether a ground bearing check is included.
3. Statutory compliance
The machine should have a valid load test certificate from a competent person, third-party inspection record and operator certification. Under the Factories Act and Gujarat state rules, this is non-negotiable for notified factories.
4. Operator and rigger
The crane operator and at least one certified rigger should come with the machine. A lift planned without a rigger present is a safety gap, not a cost saving.
5. Mobilisation window
Confirm the machine’s current location and transit time to your site. For shutdown windows, same-day or overnight mobilisation may be needed. Agree this in writing.
How the Hiring Process Works
